Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a love for it. She concentrates the majority of her work on divorce cases, alimony disputes, property distribution in marital relationships and child custody battles. child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions as well as concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by the court since 2019, assisting parties in helping them settle their disputes without needing court involvement. Ashley mediates private matters and also court-appointed mediation for those who wish to avoid court processes and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. In 2013, she graduated, and excelled in her studies, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This proved her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

Ashley began her clerkship path after completing her law degree. She was employed by renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of working as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned home to Hagerstown Maryland to work as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. as an associate attorney. The primary role she played at the firm involved representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Ashley's dedicated efforts played a significant role in helping children who were victims of neglect or abuse at the hands their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social justice spanned beyond the realm of law as she was active as an officer of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, which worked hard to increase awareness of human trafficking in the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding member at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and established her practice in family law including custody, divorce and child maintenance, as well as guardianships and estate and financial planning – wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC in 2023. Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC with the intention of providing a personalized approach to every client's requirements.
